We will undertake transport improvements in the area, including the construction of pedestrian and bicycle paths, more efficient public transport, increased snow removal and improved street lighting. We will not rest on our laurels to represent the interests of the region towards the government when it comes to the transportation plan, and the lifeline that Egilsstaðir Airport is.
We focus on strong schools that nurture students and prepare them for the future. We will use methods, that have been proven in practice by other municipalities, to promote resources available to students and teachers. With a stronger school system, our children will be better equipped to pursue higher education and then return to their hometowns to participate in the development.
We stand for a forward-looking development that ensures the quality of life for all residents regardless of age and place of residence Conditions must be created for future growth. We will work for improved planning that meets the needs of Múlaþing today – and for the future. A review of planning with sustainability as a guiding principle will pay for the development of residential housing. Rising property values call for a corresponding decrease in the assessment percentage. We will lower the assessment percentage.

The operating environment for companies of all sizes needs to be improved by simplifying regulations and making administration more efficient.
